Our girl!
Happy birthday to Lexi, the only little (or not so little now) girl in our family! Can't believe that she is already 10 - seems like just yesterday when I got the call that she was born and she was a girl! I was ecstatic!!!
Have a great birthday, Ms. Lexi...we love you!

Birthday season...

The weekend was the kickoff to birthday season for us...with Zack's 7th birthday yesterday, Sam's 13th birthday today, Lexi's 10th birthday on Saturday and Danny's 10th the following Saturday. So...four out of five of the boys' cousins have birthdays this week and next. But that's not all...then Auntie Ko's , Dave's, Dave's Step-Dad's and Auntie Steph's birthday...all in April (as well as a few more down in California too!). We need a loan! Ha, ha!
Here's a picture of Sam, Austin and Caden's oldest cousin, that I snagged from their blog...such a big boy! Happy birthday Sam! We miss you!

Yahoo!!
Just an update that Mr. Caden Andrew hasn't had a fever since yesterday afternoon - so I think we're in the clear! He was happy and his regular self today...we even ran a couple errands together as a family and had lunch at Red Robin as a treat (although his appetite isn't up to his regular self...BIG eater!). That's okay though - I am sure that will return in time. Glad to have you back, CC!

Caden update...
Well, another day at home. Caden seemed to be on the rebound last night, acting great for Dave...thinking that he had turned the corner. Then at 2am he stumbled into our room, with a 102 fever again. So I called the doctor this morning when they opened, as that is what they advised me to do when he saw them on Wednesday..."if he still has a fever on Friday, call us". So, another $20 for them to tell us that he still has influenza and hopefully he will be better soon. Thanks. He had a pretty good morning though, and now resting as his legs were aching again. Wish us a good weekend...we need it...
Added note...Caden just woke up from his nap with a fever of 103.5 now...so maddening!

Day 6...
Here's Caden on day 6 of the flu...poor little pathetic guy! Notice how he starts with a smile, as he trained to do so when a camera is pointed to him...otherwise, this is how he has been for days. Not himself, that is for sure. I want my Caden back. Now. Please.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Not feeling my regular holiday self today...the boys and I have been sick all weekend...with the aches, cough, and even Caden throwing up last night. Yuck. They are on the rebound, as my chest still hurts to breath. So, I'm not even in green (I have new St. Patty's Day socks and everything)...so unlike me...I must be ill.
Have a happy green day!

Garage sales...
They are funny, aren't they? Our neighbors across the street are moving to Florida next week, so their garage has been open all week with people trickling in and out. Any time I'm at the computer I see people drive up...half of them hardly pulling up to park, as they run out of their cars to look through the goods (or trash!).
We had a garage sale a couple of years ago and made about $500 and I enjoyed every bit of it, but I have to say, it's a funny thing that draws out some odd ducks.
Happy Saturday!

Having a Picnik!
I love Picnik to edit photos and so excited this morning to see that they have made so many of their editing features free now! Yippee! So, I was playing around with a photo and decided to make Ammy & Papa with the boys into Leprechauns! Aren't they cute!Check out Picnik - it's fun!

Hooray for hoops!
Austin's last day of basketball was Saturday...and I caught him making a basket on video. He also was awarded his first trophy...played several sports before, but they have chose not to do trophies in the past (which is okay too!). Good job Austin!

Some things never change...
My Mom found a book I made in second grade when I was six and half. It was all about me, with my stories and pictures. We really got a laugh out of it, as it had some interesting things:
* I feel important when I clean my bedroom.
* It makes me happy when I go shopping. And it makes me sad when I can't go.
* My favorite meal is burritos and tacos.
* If I had lots of money I would go to Disneyland and buy everything.
If you know me well, you would see that some things never change. I showed Dave this book last night and it thought that these things were funny ~ especially the cleaning and shopping...he said that if he only knew when he met me (ha, ha!). So, I guess you are kind of molded at an early age. Pretty cool!

I met the man...
My Mom and I had a delightful visit to the hospital yesterday to meet Mr. Hudson for the first time. Man, 7 lbs is so little! He is absolutely perfect...sweet, mellow and handsome! Can't wait to see him again once he's settled in at home.
