Date night with Austin!

Last week, my parents graciously offered to take Caden for a day/night so he didn't get sold on eBay (ha, ha...he is a strong willed 3 year old...just like his mother was). So, it was a great opportunity while Dave was at school for Austin and I to have a date! We started off with going to lunch with Ammy at Applebee's to give Caden to my Mom...and then headed to Big Al's! We had a great time bowling (although he beat me by 1...with bumpers) and played several games! We then headed to Taco Del Mar and sat in our favorite umbrella covered/lighted seat, and then did a little shopping! It was a ton-o-fun, and we were happy to go get Caden the next day. He's been such a good boy since coming home- maybe we just needed a little break from each other! :)

Happy 2009!

Hello and happy 2009! The year has been great, so far (in the 4th day now!). Hope that this year brings everyone happiness, and fun with family and friends! 2009 is going to be very fine! Ha, ha! :)

Today is my Mom's birthday, and because of this weather, we weren't able to go to their house for our Christmas celebration...darn it!! Hope you had a good birthday, regardless of our silly plans and I can't wait to see you on Saturday!!

Where did these 6 years go? It really does seem like just yesterday you looked like this:


And now...you're in Kindergarten, doing well in school, doing big boy activities (like going to a Blazer game - like this picture below).

We couldn't be more proud of you...you're a smart, kind, loving little guy. Keep it up - you're the best!!
