proud hoops mommy...
Maybe its because basketball is the only sport I really played (and still got "best sportsmanship" award, as I wasn't that great) that I really enjoy watching Austin play basketball. Today was another fun game and Austin made THREE baskets! I was so proud of him. He made the crowd laugh every time, as he would raise both his arms in the air in the flexing motion as he ran down the court, and would find me in the crowd and give me a thumbs up. Brought tears to my eyes. Again, I'm so proud of him.

sound it out...
Dave was working with Austin on this book the other day. He was doing great, although he was thinking that the word "day" was "weather". You'll see in the video. Hmm. So, he is starting to read (or memorize!!) and is very excited! :)

Hoops!
Austin, the hooper...before his big day (practice & a game!)
Austin had his first basketball game yesterday and we were all so proud of him scoring! Yahoo...he made a hoop! It's interesting to watch 5 & 6 year olds play, in their own special way (with special rules, no score, etc...).
That's Austin (blue #20) chasing after the loose ball...this was probably the most action of the whole game. :)
Here's a couple of pictures of Caden with us on the bleachers...Caden did well watching all of brother's game and enjoyed a couple pieces of red licorce afterwards (my kind of guy!).
